Juan Santamaria

Managing Director

Juan Santamaria is CPB Contractors’ Managing Director.

Juan was previously Managing Director of UGL. Prior to that he was Executive General Manager Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Construction West at CPB Contractors, with responsibility across the CIMIC Group’s construction operations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, and for CPB Contractors’ subsidiary Broad and its PPP projects.

Juan has more than 16 years’ international experience in the delivery of large and complex construction projects in Europe, North America, Latin America and South Africa.

Roberto Gallardo

Executive General Manager, WA, NT & Broad

Roberto Gallardo, formerly Deputy Managing Director of Pacific Partnerships, is responsible for CPB Contractors’ construction operations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory and for our subsidiary Broad. Roberto brings construction, operations, strategy and business development experience to the role.

Pedro Vicente

Executive General Manager, Asia

Pedro Vicente joined Asia in 2015 as Executive General Manager South East Asia and India. He has over 20 years of international experience in the general contracting industry throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Africa.

Prior to joining the company, Pedro held several key international management roles, including Dragados S.A. Project Director, and Area Manager and Director; Dragados Canada Executive Vice President and Operations Manager; and Dragados Australia Executive General Manager, Director and Secretary.

Pedro holds a Master in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in Spain and is a member of the Spanish Association of Civil Engineers.

Andrew Nolan is Executive General Manager, People & Culture

Andrew has a strong track record of aligning business strategies with people engagement, safety and sustainability.

As Executive General Manager, People and Culture at CPB Contractors, Andrew is driving a people first agenda, focused on fostering and celebrating our people’s skills, efforts and commitment. Andrew is leading our work to ensure our people are at the heart of our competitive advantage.

Before joining CPB Contractors, Andrew spent more than a decade as a senior leader in major civil construction organisations, including CIMIC Group, delivering significant national and international initiatives covering Human Resources, Industrial Relations and Occupational Health and Safety. Andrew also has extensive experience in driving complex structural and cultural change programs.

Andrew’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Social Science.

Stuart Charlton joined us in June 2017, building on his 11 years with the CIMIC Group, where he was most recently Executive General Manager, Finance.

In that role, Stuart was integral to the successful execution and integration of CIMIC’s strategic  business acquisitions, as well as the transformation of its internal Finance capability.

Prior to joining our company, Stuart worked at KPMG in London and Sydney.

He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts Joint Honours degree.

Jean-Paul Wallace

Jean-Paul Wallace

General Counsel

Jean-Paul Wallace has a strong track record providing key legal advice and support as part of corporate leadership teams, including five years as a General Counsel.

At CPB Contractors, Jean-Paul leads a team delivering services across a diverse range of activities including legal risk management, tenders and general commercial contract reviews, as well as providing project support and, if necessary, management of arbitration and litigation.

He also leads the company secretary function, providing key services relating to the company’s statutory requirements.

Before joining CPB Contractors, Jean-Paul was General Counsel at Tenix Australia. He has also held senior positions at UGL Limited, Downer EDI Limited and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Jean-Paul’s experience means he combines knowledge acquired in private legal practice with the commercial skills and practical considerations of industry. Two years in a major legal firm in Hong Kong has also provided a valuable international perspective.

Jean-Paul has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia.

Stuart McKenzie is Executive General Manager, Pre-Contracts & Risk

Working in the Australian construction industry for more than 20 years, Stuart has extensive leadership experience in major civil construction companies, specialising in commercial, legal and project management.

Joining CPB Contractors in 2012 as Deputy General Counsel, Stuart supports our company by identifying and capitalising on work and project opportunities, and ensuring risks have been properly identified and assessed. This includes detailed assessments of work-winning priorities and a disciplined approach to bid and tender management and project reviews.

Stuart holds both a civil engineering degree and a law degree.
