Cooroy to Curra Upgrade Section C: Traveston to Woondum
CPB Contractors is working with Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads to construct Section C: Traveston to Woondum, of the Bruce Highway – Cooroy to Curra upgrade in Queensland.
The Section C project will deliver approximately 10.5km of new, four-lane divided highway, including seven bridge structures, on a new and improved alignment between Traveston and Woondum, just south of Gympie.
The Section C project will improve safety and enhance regional Queensland’s road network operations.
Over the life of the works being delivered by CPB Contractors, the project will support around 680 direct jobs.
The Section C project is funded by the Queensland and Australian Governments.
The Bruce Highway – Cooroy to Curra upgrade is being delivered in four sections. Section C is the third of these projects to be delivered.
The upgrade is designed to meet future transport needs of south-east Queensland and will separate long distance from local traffic movements, allowing the highway to function as a safe, efficient, high-volume corridor.
