What’s the best thing about your job?
“I’m able to gain exposure to so many different areas of construction. As part of the Civils team, I am helping with the large scale demolition of Roma Street Station. Although there are many challenges associated with bringing down concrete structures in the middle of the CBD, being able to work with such a large professional team has assisted me greatly in being able to develop a better understanding of exactly what’s required to make this sort of project become a reality.”
What’s the best thing about being part of building Cross River Rail?
“To be a part of a project that involves so many different disciplines in construction can definitely be seen as a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity. I’m so grateful to only be in my fourth month as a graduate engineer and be able to say that I was involved with a project that literally transformed the way South East Queensland operates.”
