Creating new opportunities for women in construction

CPB Contractors' Women in Construction program is helping to meet the growing demand for construction workers in Australia. The program has created and delivered valuable job opportunities for over 40 women since its launch 18 months ago.

One of the program's graduates, Kim Gwilliam, is now thriving as a member of CPB Contractors’ construction workforce in Western Sydney, New South Wales.

"CPB Contractors’ Women in Construction program gave me the skills and confidence I needed to start a career in construction," said Kim.

"I'm so proud to work on such important projects and to be a part of a team that is committed to bringing more women into the industry."

As Australia sets its sights on transitioning to renewable energy, the construction sector is anticipated to grow its workforce by 5.8% in the next five years. CPB Contractors is committed to supporting this transformation and helping to meet the demand for more construction workers.
