CPB Contractors’ Western Australian (WA) corporate office successfully launched a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)-focused in-office holiday program for employees juggling care during the school holidays.
Over two days, 42 young participants engaged in hands-on activities led by e2 Young Engineers Australia at CPB Contractors’ Perth headquarters. The program included a variety of interactive experiences, from building Lego models to programming robots and conducting scientific experiments.
Designed to spark curiosity and interest in STEM subjects, the program has been a resounding success.
Andrew Giammo, CPB Contractors’ WA General Manager, explains that the program was offered to employee’s children for free and is an example of their One Team culture.
“Along with the fun and learning, it was a great opportunity for our team members to showcase their workplace and the type of things we do each day,” adds Andrew.
Recognising the program's positive impact, CPB Contractors will expand it to the South Australian team in the future.
