As construction progresses on the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital Redevelopment in Camperdown, NSW, CPB Contractors recently hosted a Subcontractor Safety Forum aimed at strengthening project delivery.
Held on site, the safety forum brought together more than 40 subcontractor representatives and members of the project team for an afternoon of knowledge exchange and discussion about upcoming activities and how the team can best collaborate on safety initiatives.
CPB Contractors Executive General Manager of Building, Camillo Masci, said the forum was part of a broader commitment to proactive engagement with industry partners.
“These forums are more than just an update on project progress," said Camillo. "They’re about building trust, sharing expectations, and aligning on the path forward.
“When our subcontractors are well-informed and connected, we build better - not just in terms of infrastructure, but in the strength of our delivery partnerships.
”The RPA Subcontractor Safety Forum follows the success of last year’s Indigenous Business Forum, continuing CPB Contractors’ approach of early and consistent engagement with its supply chain.
CPB Contractors is delivering a comprehensive scope at RPA Hospital, including a new 15-storey acute services building, major refurbishments to existing infrastructure, vertical and horizontal expansions, realignment of Lambie Dew Drive, service diversions, and the design and construction of a temporary helicopter landing site.
Through initiatives like the Subcontractor Safety Forum, CPB Contractors is reinforcing its commitment to collaborative project delivery and creating opportunities for local businesses and specialist contractors to be part of one of Sydney’s most significant health infrastructure projects.
