Meet Kirsten Evans.
For Kirsten, a career in construction was never just about building projects, it was about building opportunities, solving complex challenges and working with great people. Having spent 18 years with CPB Contractors, Kirsten has done exactly that.
As a Project Director, Kirsten has helped deliver some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects while championing the next generation of industry leaders.
After discovering construction management while exploring university options, Kirsten completed a cadetship and worked full-time while finishing her degree, kickstarting a career that has spanned major projects, leadership roles and countless opportunities to learn and grow.
One of her proudest career achievements was helping deliver the Sydney Metro North West from tender through to completion.
"It changed the way Sydneysiders travel, and being part of that journey from beginning to end was incredibly rewarding. "It's one of the best major Australian infrastructure projects ever delivered, both in what it delivered and how."

Kirsten is equally passionate about people development, finding particular satisfaction in mentoring emerging talent and helping team members build confidence, develop their skills and realise their potential.
"Seeing people grow, take on new challenges and go on to achieve great things is one of the most rewarding parts of my role."
As Chair of the NSW Women in Construction Committee and a key contributor to the NSW/ACT GEAP, Kirsten continues to advocate for greater diversity and inclusion across the industry.
What does she enjoy most about life at CPB Contractors?
"Our projects and our people. We work alongside people who are experts in their field, every day, and there's always something new to learn. When you bring great people together into a unified team, amazing things can happen."
Outside of work, you'll often find Kirsten exploring new camping destinations in her caravan, spending time with family and friends, hitting the gym several times a week, or taking her seven-year-old Border Collie, Freddy, on an adventure.
And while she enjoys the fast pace of major project delivery, her ideal weekend involves switching off completely, parking the caravan by the beach and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
We're proud to have leaders like Kirsten helping shape both the projects we deliver, and the people and teams that make them possible.
