CPB Contractors has once again been recognised as Gender Equality Employer of Choice.
Australia’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) has awarded CPB Contractors an official Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE), following previously holding the citation for the period of 2023-2025.
The WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation is a voluntary program that recognises and promotes employers with an active commitment to achieving gender equality in Australian workplaces. The citation is underpinned by a best‑practice framework focused on demonstrated gender equality outcomes, leadership capability, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
The citation provides an overarching assessment of impact in relation to gender equality, examining the strength of practices and progress over time.
CPB Contractors’ program to meet this framework is detailed in our organisation-wide and project-based Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) and includes initiatives such as:
- Formalised targets, learning, and leadership programs
- Inclusive support covering parental, disability, elder care, and domestic violence
- A multi-pronged strategy to ensure pay equity and gender-balanced workplaces
- Ongoing efforts to drive positive change across the broader construction industry.
CPB Contractors Managing Director Craig Nuttall said: “As a leading contractor, CPB Contractors is proud to be making bold moves to modernise our industry, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive workplaces that embrace diversity. By prioritising diversity and inclusivity, particularly in regards to gender, we’re breaking down barriers and supporting fulfilling and sustainable careers.”
WGEA CEO Mary Wooldridge congratulated CPB Contractors for their work in being recognised through the WGEA Workplace Gender Equality citation.
“Holding the Workplace Gender Equality Citation provides national recognition that CPB Contractors is deeply committed to positive action to achieve gender equality in their workplace.”
“Citation holders demonstrate strong gender-equal outcomes at the moments that matter most to women and men at work. They go beyond policy and programs, embedding gender equality into the everyday employee experience. “
“Committing to clear targets and using insights from employee surveys, these employers turn data into action, strengthening safety, fairness and opportunity for everyone in their organisation.”Click here to view CPB Contractors WGEA Gender Pay Gap Employer Statement.
