The Belmont Shooting Complex is Australia's only shooting venue capable of hosting all shooting disciplines in one location. It served as the venue for the shooting competitions during the Brisbane 1982 and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Broad Construction was part of the team that significantly upgraded the facility as a Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games legacy project.
This upgrade included the provision of a new 25m range extension adjacent to the existing QTS, which already featured 10m, 25m, and 50m ranges, including the new finals range. The existing 50m and 10m ranges were refurbished to meet international standards, with the addition of a new 25m range.
This work involved demolition, new concrete slabs, structural steel, precast dividing walls, new roofing, electrical enhancements, and associated fit-out.
Broad Construction has now been integrated to CPB Contractors. This change has enhanced CPB Contractors building expertise across Western Australia and Queensland, specifically where the majority of Broad's highly experienced delivery teams are now focused on delivering all new building projects under the CPB Contractors brand.
