Golden 1 Centre
Golden 1 Centre in Sacramento, CA, was built as the home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings and became the first LEED Platinum-certified arena in the United States. The 625,000-square-foot, 17,500-seat venue was designed as a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility capable of hosting world-class entertainment, cultural events, and community programming year-round. Premium offerings included 83 suites, three premium clubs, and two skyboxes with direct views of both the court and the surrounding city.
Golden 1 Centre became known as the world’s most connected indoor sports and entertainment venue. The facility incorporated two dedicated 100-gigabit ethernet internet circuits, providing free wi-fi connections 17,000 times faster than the average home network, capable of handling 225,000 Instagram posts per second. This connectivity extended into the surrounding plaza.
Golden 1 Centre was delivered ahead of schedule and set a new benchmark for sustainable, high-tech, community-integrated arenas
