Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail
CPB Contactors, together with Alliance partners Acciona, UGL, SMEC and WSP is delivering the Queensland Government’s Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project (The Project) between Kuraby and Beenleigh, Queensland.
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project will unlock additional train services to address the high growth in travel demand between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is a key investment to support the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The number of tracks will be increased from two to four between Kuraby and Beenleigh which doubles the capacity of the rail line and reduces waiting times at stations.
The project will provide station accessibility upgrades, improved walking and cycling connections, enhanced safety and reduces traffic congestion for local communities through level crossing removals.
The project scope includes construction of eight new stations and upgrades to existing infrastructure, including:
• accessibility upgrades to stations at Kuraby, Trinder Park, Woodridge, Kingston, Loganlea, Bethania, Edens Landing, Holmview, and Beenleigh
• upgraded tracks, structures and rail systems between Kuraby station and Beenleigh station, providing 4 tracks through the 20km corridor
• improved safety and reduced traffic congestion through level crossing removals at Kuraby, Woodridge, Bethania, Holmview and Beenleigh
• better connected communities through modifications to the local road network and improved walking and cycling paths along the corridor
• enabling works for European Train Control System (ETCS)
• extension of the cattle siding at Holmview.
Positive partnerships with our subcontractors and suppliers deliver long-term benefits – often starting with shared behaviours, values and objectives that contribute to their ongoing success.
The Project prioritises sustainability in all supply chain and procurement activities and recognises our responsibility to provide positive social, economic and environmental outcomes alongside its suppliers.

Local Benefits
ActivUs Alliance is committed to engaging local businesses and workforce on the project and providing upskilling opportunities through training and apprenticeships.
Local Industry Participation
The Project has a focus on prioritising local industry participation from the Logan Local Government Area and by businesses within the immediate vicinity of the rail corridor between Kuraby and Beenleigh, and the surrounding catchments of Brisbane, Gold Coast and Scenic Rim.
The selection of successful vendor tenders will be through a variety of factors including (but not limited to) price, capability, capacity. location, safety, quality and environmental performance, and social outcomes activities.
Businesses participating in the project will also be encouraged to also prioritise participation of local businesses within their own supply chain.
Indigenous Participation
The Project recognises that engaging and building relationships and trust with traditional owners, local Indigenous men and women, their communities and organisations requires awareness, knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions, and barriers to economic participation.
The Project is committed to providing participation opportunities in employment, training, and industry participation for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and businesses throughout the life of the project.
Training - Skills and capacity
The Project is targeting high participation for ‘Entry level Training’ opportunities such as Apprentice and Traineeships, Graduate and Undergraduate placements, and Indigenous people.

Logan is home to more than 350,000 people from more than 234 different cultures, making it one of Queensland’s most diverse communities. The Alliance has a strong commitment to achieving lasting social outcomes and inclusive participation during the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project.
The Project is focussed on building partnerships, targeting procurement practices and delivering programs directly and through our subcontractors and suppliers that increase the participation of:
