CPB Contractors has been selected by the Australian Government’s Department of Defence to deliver the Riverina Redevelopment Program in New South Wales and Victoria.
The projects will be delivered by the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture, a 50:50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer EDI Limited (Downer).
CPB Contractors has more than 20 years of experience as a leading Defence contractor working as a trusted partner to the Australian Defence Force, providing our regional projects experience and technical expertise to safely deliver key projects. The project incorporates three major redevelopment locations:
- Albury-Wodonga Military Area Redevelopment
- RAAF Base Wagga (Yalbiligi Ngurang) Redevelopment
- Blamey Barracks Kapooka (Gabuga) Redevelopment (pending Parliamentary approval)
The program of work will deliver:
- New living and working accommodation
- Training facilities
- Communal facilities
- Upgrades to major infrastructure and services
CPB Contractors’ is committed to building sustainability and social value across its projects, including in its role as a proud supporter of Veteran employment, and is also focused on building a sustainable supply chain that supports the communities it works within. The contractor will work collaboratively with the Department of Defence to ensure the economic opportunities created by this project are maximised through the involvement of local suppliers.
The delivery phase will commence in early 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in late 2031.
CPB Contractors acknowledge the Wiradjuri, Waveroo and the Duduroa peoples as the traditional and continuing custodians of the lands on which the Riverina Redevelopment Program will be delivered.
