CPB Contractors to deliver Sydney Water's Orchard Hills Water Filtration Plant Reliability Upgrade project
CPB Contractors, with support from CIMIC Group company EIC Activities, will deliver a new pre-treatment facility at the Orchard Hills Water Filtration Plant in Western Sydney. The project will enhance the reliability and resilience of drinking water supplies for approximately 260,000 customers across the Penrith and Blue Mountains regions, while supporting future population growth and development in Western Sydney.
CPB Contractors will design and construct a new pre-treatment facility at the Orchard Hills Water Filtration Plant, improving the plant's ability to manage poor raw water quality during extreme weather events and helping ensure the ongoing delivery of safe, high-quality drinking water.
The project will generate approximately $150 million in revenue for CPB Contractors.
The Orchard Hills Water Filtration Plant Reliability Upgrade project includes:
- Construction of a new pre-treatment facility to improve treatment of raw water before filtration
- Upgrades to existing chemical storage and handling facilities
- Removal of disused buildings and concrete structures
- Associated site works, including new pipework, roadway improvements and power supply upgrades
